Forteto formaggio percorino toscano dop oro antico, strong flavour, hard & granulous paste, matured over 6 months, circa 2.5kg.
Pecorino DOP cheese with a tender, medium seasoning, produced with pasteurized milk selected by breeders registered with the Consorzio di Tutela del Pecorino Toscano DOP. The matte white paste is compact and slightly chalky with an inviting taste. During the maturing period the cheese undergoes a series of treatments with olive oil that give the crust the characteristic brown color.
