The Penne a Candela are a tasty variant of the classic Smooth Pens particularly popular in southern Italy.
They are characterized by a much greater thickness and diamentro (those of the Candles from which they take their name) and, thanks to their size, they are able to better retain the seasonings.
The absence of scratches is offset by a surprising softness, which gives the palate sublime sensations. Delicate and refined, they exalt to the maximum aromas, tastes and perfumes.
The Penne a Candela are particularly suitable for the preparation of baked pies but can also be used for excellent dry pasta seasoned with meat sauces or vegetable based tomato sauce and with the addition of peppers, zucchini, eggplant, olives and capers.
