Fettuccine are part of the family of long flat section pasta.
It is not easy to establish the origin of this format, present and popular throughout Italy, even if with different local names. Probably the birthplace of Fettuccine is Lazio, where they are the pride of all the regional cuisine.
Fettuccine, very versatile and therefore suitable to be enjoyed with various condiments, are particularly recommended in the recipes of dry pasta with sauces based on tomato sauce and meat sauce. They are also excellent in preparations that include fish sauces, especially molluscs.
