A fragrant honey, with an enveloping aroma that recalls the flowers of zagara and a slightly fruity taste, in a functional format that completes the Mielizia range. It is ideal for creating sauces and fancy vinaigrettes and to accompany fresh cheeses and pasta filata.
Mielizia honey is not pasteurized: it is produced at a temperature never higher than 40°, the temperature of the hive, to keep intact taste, perfume and nutritional principles.
Consistency: crystallized
Colour: very clear, the colour varies from white to straw yellow, up to light beige
Aroma: floral, fruity, with a note reminiscent of orange blossom and a subtle and persistent aroma of citrus peel.
Taste: fruity and pleasantly acidic.
Production area and period:
It is harvested in spring and early summer, in the southern regions of the Italian peninsula and on the islands
Tips for use:
Ideal for the preparation of baked goods, to sweeten and flavor yogurt, desserts based on cream and whipped cream, it is enhanced in "cold" uses. Countless are the possible combinations with this honey. It can be used for omelettes, spring vegetable salads, imaginative vinaigrettes, with raw and cooked fish and cheeses of various seasoning (scamorza, provola, caciocavallo and mozzarella).
